Mobile and Broadband Bundle in Your Shopping Trolley Madam?

We’ve all probably at some time or the other wandered around Tesco to do our weekly supermarket shop and we all know that along with our supplies of tea, bread and frozen chips, we can also chuck in a mobile phone contract or pre-pay product from Tesco Mobile into our trolley’s along with the other groceries. But have you ever considered adding a new mobile phone and broadband bundle to your weekly shopping list?
Recently the Chief Executive of Tesco Mobile has revealed the popular supermarket chain is pushing to become the
“We have looked at it and are considering it,” but he stressed Tesco had not yet pinned down details or a timeframe for a launch. “A one line summary of my business plan is to be the leading telecoms player in the UK by any core metric, such as profitability, and that includes being bigger than Carphone Warehouse.”
Tesco Mobile operates as a joint venture with O2 competing with Virgin Mobile and Asda in its market. To further their advancement Tesco Telecoms shops are to be installed within all Tesco Extra stores over the next few years as part of the plan. You can already buy handsets and top-up cards at its petrol stations and in-store and online they also already sell laptops and mobile broadband dongles, so adding a broadband bundle into your shopping trolley is the next step; their aims to be bigger than Carphone Warehouse and Virgin Mobile probably aren’t that much of a fantasy.
